Marbles

Selah and Elianna really enjoyed this toy we pulled out of the garage attic.
I enjoyed watching their mommy and daddy trying to build it together.
Especially funny was that Papa slept through all the marble noise and didn't wake up until he heard Selah laughing!

Working around the Yard

Helping Grandma:
First we had to pick all the dandelions & violets we could find.

Next we planted some seeds in the front of the house.

Then finally we had to do some serious digging in the herb garden.

Definitely a delightful dirty day!

Outdoor Science Center

Tiny Tots Program
It was a fine spring day to attend .
It was sunny and 72 degrees!

First thing she wanted to do was visit the craft stations.
Here she made a rain stick. She also made a noise maker-shaker.

Next we went to the "Critter House"
She was able to pet a bunny, touch a box turtle, see a newly hatched dove, and watch an iguana.

Then we went on a 45 minute hike which started at the log pile. The adults turned over logs while the kids looked for pill bugs & centipedes. Our guide reminded me of Steve from Blues Clues. (Not how he looked but how he acted) Extremely over animated! I mean just how excited can you get over the buds on the trees and mold on the ground. But the children loved him!

Next we went to visit the raptors in their cages.

Elianna especially liked the owl and the bald eagle.

Last we listened to a man sing songs and do finger plays. I really liked his song about playing outside "it has more channels than any TV" Elianna wanted to sit through this station twice. So instead of three 45 minutes sessions that were offered we did 4. Surprisingly the songs were different each time.

Introducing: "Duck-Duck"

Selah has a new friend she calls "Duck-Duck." She likes to take this stuffed animal to bed with her. You should see her face light up when you bring Duck-Duck to her.

Kite Flying

Great Expectations!

Ready, Set, Run!

The kite was finally up and flying until.....

Elianna ran too far and the kite became stuck in the apple tree.

April Showers

After being able to play outside every day while in Alabama where it was warm, Elianna had been begging to play outside. My daughter-in-law said she would like it if I took Elianna outside today. She sent her with a change of clothes and dressed in her new rain gear.

Miss Bumble Bee.

We went out back where I knew there was a BIG puddle and Elianna gleefully went-

Puddle Stomping!

She only took a few breaks for some Nature Exploration.

And, Yes, she did need the change of clothes when we finally went inside.

Elianna's Third Birthday Party

Photo she took of her cake and cupcakes.

Presents Galore!

Playing with a Punch Ball after instruction from Aunt Coco.
Check out more and better pics here!

How many times do I have to say "Cheese"?

This photo tells it all! Elianna gave me this cheese smile after she had already been asked to smile for about a zillion snapshots from numerous other relatives.

A couple other faces I caught on film!
