Beanstalk Play Cafe

We visited a new play place today. It is in an old church that looks like a castle including the huge stained glass windows. Everything inside was themed towards fairy tales. Plus it was all decorated for Christmas with at least 10 different trees.
The climbing structure was especially nice since the bottom layer was easy enough for Selah. (unlike a McDonalds one) She really liked these rope "houses" and the long curvy tunnel that she could go through by herself.

Elianna of course climbed all through everything!
Selah did try out the toddler room for a while.
There was a separate room for reading. The girls thought this big chair was really funny. The Beanstalk Cafe also had quite a few giant books to read. The girls loved the idea of them being so big and we spent quite a bit of time in here.
Selah's favorite thing in the whole place was this little rocking chair.
SIGH! So much for big fancy climbers.
P.S. Expect my next photos to be better. My husband bought me a new camera for Christmas.

Wrapping Paper

Elianna and Selah ( who left before I took the picture) helped me make wrapping paper for a few special gifts.
Now if only I could get them to wrap all my presents for me too!

Giggles, Giggles and more Giggles!

I hope you enjoy this video. Jaycob was having so much fun shooting Glenn with the Pirate Ship cannons and retrieving the "bullets" from him.

500+ miles for Daughter's Lasagna

Glenn enjoying his favorite lasagna that only Melanie can make for him.

Aby waiting & Melanie checking doneness.

Short Time at the Beach

We went to the beach on a cold dreary afternoon.

The moon was visible and beautiful.

Glenn learned about sea glass. Then they both searched for some to add to Melanie's collection.

The kids and I played in the sand, dodged waves, and threw rocks.

Dress Up

A couple of days last week the girls were playing dressup with some of the outfits I have here. They had a blast but for some unexplained reason neither of them would try on the football outfit.
I
No, this is not a pat down. I am not arresting them, they just wanted to have me take a picture showing their tails too.

Elianna became tired of dressing up and decided Shadow wanted to play dress up too. Despite his sad look, his tail was wagging.

Leaf Jumping

I took the girls outside last week and discovered they enjoyed jumping in the leaves. Selah especially thought it was sooo fun. The leaf colors were gorgeous but alas I had forgotten the camera. I took the girls out again today and remembered the camera. Disapointingly most of the leaves were boring brown. Of course the color didn't matter to them.

Climbing Girl

Lately, Elianna's big thing is to Climb. She climbs everything outside that will challenge her skills. Of course, most of the pictures are of her backside.

Climbing "Her Tree" in our front yard.

This wall was scary for even this normally nonchalant Grandma. It was easily twice as tall as I. Elianna scaled it like a monkey and not even once asked for help.

Just Like Big Sister!

The girls were riding bikes in the driveway. Elianna took off her jacket and was riding with it on her handlebar.
Well when Selah noticed Elianna, all I heard was "Me Too!"
Soon I had two girls with their jackets on their handlebars.

Birthday Cousins

Don't my grandchildren take beautiful birthday photos????

When I saw the picture that I took of Jaycob for his birthday; it made me think of the similar picture of Elianna on her birthday.

Jaycob's Fourth Birthday

Jaycob couldn't believe there were two parties for HIM? Thanks to the predicted bad weather from Hurricane Hanna, Bryan's family delayed driving in from out of state until Sunday. (Who would blame them!)
But when Melanie asked the parent's of Jaycob's friends about delaying the party because of the weather, all of them laughed.
So Jaycob had one party with friends and one with family! Balloons, cupcake and presents twice. He just couldn't believe it. We had to keep explaining that the second party was for him too.

Playing in the Rain

Ahead of Hurricane Hanna were light showers. We were already out playing when the showers had started. So we decided to stay out and play in them. Well Aby and Jaycob did.

I stood in the garage and watched.

Aby's "I feel the rain!" & "Grandma, Am I wet?"

This was not a very good video but you can see a little of Jaycob's windshield wipers. He does a very good sound imitation of them. He even changes it to fit the vehicle he's driving and their speed.
