Jump City

Today we went to jump at Jump City! It had been over a year since I'd been there as nanny for Sam & Abbey. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had doubled the space, added more inflatables, and kept the $6 price the same.

This was Elianna's first time. She loved jumping & sliding. But she only wanted to go in if there was no one else in the bouncer. Which was very hard as it was a rainy day thus it was crowded. Next time we'll go to the 3pm session. The owner clued me in and told me that time slot is usually empty.

Suddenly, I fell out of the above bouncer and landed on the floor. The steps just collapsed under me. (I probably weighed too much) I scraped my elbow and it was bleeding. After that Elianna didn't go on any more bouncers. I don't know if it was because of my fall or an inflatable was never empty after that. She said, "Too many boyz!"

She decided trying out the different riding toys and playing with a toy vacuum were much more exciting. This police car was her favorite!

4H County Fair

This is one BIG tractor!

We visited the cows, horses, goats, turkeys, ducks & pigs at the fair.
She even milked a pretend cow.
She took an interest in all the animals but refused to visit the rabbits or chickens. She kept telling me she didn't know cows were so big and that they were all laying down because they were tired and needed a nap.
After the animals, we went on the carnival rides! We drove an old motel T car on our first ride. Then she drove jeeps. Next we went on a train ride. The carnival was nice because she was able to ride all the rides she wanted for only $2.
Finally we rode the carousel. That's all folks! No other rides! It's official Elianna loves the carousel! She rode 4 or 5 times and had to be dragged off each time. I tell you literally dragged off! She grabbed on to everything she could while sobbing because she didn't want to get off. The ride guy even asked her if she was taking his pony hostage!
But back in line (with a smile) we went repeatedly until it was time to go home.

Bakin' with Grandma

Flour Child
We had our first experience baking together. It was so much fun to do with my granddaughter! We made Banana Oatmeal cookies. It is an old family recipe my mom taught me how to make.

Stirring & Putting them on the cookie sheet
